While I continue to spend less time on Facebook and more time on Bluesky (or reading or, gasp, walking in the outside world), there’s a couple elements of connectivity I find still useful. One is remembering birthdays, which I did used to do via a treeware calendar designed for the purpose (specifically one with artwork by international treasure Sandra Boynton). But let’s face it, some electronic and digital reminders help us. And so I often send well wishes for people’s next trip around the sun and that they find more joys while on the journey.
The other is the memories feature, which show links to articles and videos that are both joyful, but also remind me that these “interesting times” have been going on for some time now.
So we better come up with coping strategies. (Yeah, the Pandemic might have been a giveaway there).
But with those memories was a link to an article that led to another that led to this piece for Time about finding joy in less than joyful times by Angela Haupt, that, while being from a few years ago is one I found still quite relevant and many of you may find important.
